How Elizabeth is Supporting the Pollinators and Sustainability

Author: Team Grove

In this Customer Spotlight, we caught up with Elizabeth from White Plains, NY, whose miniature making hobby is actually a two-in-one sustainable hack, what her biggest sustainability win has been so far (hint: she’s helping bees thrive!), and her favorite healthy products she’s found at Grove.

A little about Elizabeth

What’s one fun fact about you that surprises people?
I make miniatures in my spare time!

Who (or what pets) do you share your home with?
My husband & an energetic one-year-old rescue dog.

Sustainability and health

Was there a moment or experience that made you more mindful of health and/or sustainability?

I can't remember, but I've been very concerned about climate change for a long time.

What’s one easy sustainability habit that you swear by?

Recycling! We set aside and rinse all recycling.

What’s the most creative way you’ve given something a second life?

I often re-use small items in my miniature making — the lid to a candle, for example, can become a dollhouse table top!

We want to celebrate you! What has been your biggest sustainability or health win so far?

My husband and I have managed to convert our front yard to a clover lawn. The bumble bees love it! It doesn't sound like much, but the transition from grass to clover is a bit rough, with lots of weeding and a year where our lawn looked terrible.

Beyond sustainability, what causes or issues do you care about most?

LGBT+ rights — trans people are under attack in this country and abroad, and they deserve to live happy, safe, and fulfilling lives.

Shopping at Grove

If we peeked in your Grove cart, what would we find?

Oat milk lotion and bamboo paper products.

Which brand(s) at Grove do you swear by?

Rooted!

What’s one product you never knew you needed until you tried it?

The Grab Green bakeware pods; they are a life saver.
